Making sure your pet has a comfortable and safe journey is a priority with
the baggage personnel at Reno Air. The following rules and guidelines should
answer any questions you may have regarding our procedures. You may also

Cabin Pets are defined as follows:
Domesticated dogs, cats, and birds which are kept as personal pets or as
show or exhibition animals. Pets may not be considered dangerous or offensive
to passengers or Reno Air Baggage personnel.
Cabin Pet Rules
-Only two pets are allowed per flight.
-Pets must travel with an adult.
-It is recommended the pet have a current health certificate issued within
10 days prior to departure.
-The container you use to transport your pet must be leak proof and be made
of metal/wood/polyethlene and be ventilated on at least 2 sides and permit
the animal to stand.
-There is a $25.00 charge per pet one-way.
Pet Rules for Kennels Accompanied By a Passenger
-Animal containers will not be included in the free baggage allowance.
-You need to provide a kennel that must be leak proof and be made out of
metal/wood/polyethlene and be ventilated on at least two sides. The animal
must be able to stand comfortably inside.
-The weight can not exceed more than 100 lbs. with a maximum linear dimension
of 115 inches.
-You will need to check your pet in at least 1 hour prior to your flight.
-It is recommended your pet has a current health certificate issued within
10 days prior to departure.
-There is a $45.00 charge for a pet checked as baggage traveling with passenger.

Rules and Regulations
Animal must be in an airline approved kennel.
Animal must be able to stand upright and turn around completely.
A water dish and absorbent material for kennel must be provided.
Health certificate must be dated within ten (10) days of flight.
Letter of acclamation stating that the animal can endure weather changes
from one city to another.
Pets That Assist
-Reno Air will accept animals in the cabin under the following conditions:
-To assist the blind or deaf;
-To assist in search and rescue;
-To assist in detecting explosives;
-Pets must be harnessed and sit on the floor in front of the responsible
passenger.
